About Us

Sri Kanaka School of Nursing is in Ramanagara on BM Road between Mysore and Bangalore in a panoramic and vast area of 3 acres of land. The distance from Bangalore is about 40 km and from Mysore 80 km. Ramanagara is well connected by road and rail. The campus is equipped with building for all facilities as per the norms of INC and is also blessed with dedicated teachers, staff and with sufficient clinical facilities.

Nursing is a divine profession as it is involved with the care of afflicted and cure of the sick. Hence, the students must be enkindled and enriched with divine grace and human values along with scientific knowledge and skills ready to be applied to needy in community, sincerely and meaningfully. The curricular, extracurricular and co-curricular activities of the institution are framed accordingly as to empower the efficacy, confidence and knowledge of the students to carry out the great task.

Clinical Facilities

Clinical Facility is provided at BGS Global Hospital, Bangalore, Ramanagara Govt. Hospital and Channapatna Govt. Hospital. With more than 500 beds and various departments such as Medical/Surgical/Orthopaedic/Paediatric/ ENT/Eye/Maternity/Gynaecology, the students have good options to get exposed to real clinical cases. Orientation Programs in the field of Psychiatry, Community Health Nursing at PHC Water purification plant etc. included in curriculum.

More importance is given to awareness of National Health Programs, Rural Community Health Programs through health visits/Camps/Orientation programs at various Primary Health Centers

Care is taken so that each student gets a good amount of exposure and experience in wards, Operation theaters – its management and emergency care.

Hostel Facilities

Separate secure hostels are available for boys and girls. The Educational Trust issues norms and standards for students behavior from time to time. Violation of these norms is severely punished according to the laid down guidelines. All the hostels are provided with round the clock security. Students are not allowed to bring any valuables or jewels to the hostel as the management does not take any responsibility of loss, theft or any other issues arising from these.

Mess facility is available at hostel which provides healthy, hygienic and tasty food to the students.

A student has to take permission from the ward in-charge before he/she moves out of the hostel and the same has to be informed to respective teachers

Rules and Regulations

  • Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited
  • Usage of drugs is strictly prohibited. Anyone found dealing or abusing drugs is liable for enquiry and final termination
  • Ragging of any sort of co-students is strictly prohibited and punished as per Anti- Ragging Act of 1980 and is a non-bailable offence
  • Use of mobiles is strictly prohibited in college campus
  • Students residing in the hostel are directed to follow timings, rules and regulations and are expected to keep the hostel premises neat and clean

Fee Structure

Information regarding fees structure can be availed at the office. Advance/fees paid cannot be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances. If any student voluntarily withdraws or is dismissed after admission/before completion of the course, the students should remit the fees for the entire course. Non-payment of fees within specified time attracts dismissal of student. Fees structure is liable to be changed at any time bearing in mind the cost of living.
